Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our authentic Icelandic knitwear and heritage pieces.

What makes Icelandic wool unique?

Icelandic wool, or Lopi, is composed of two layers: a water-repellent outer fiber and a soft, insulating inner fiber. This unique combination ensures our garments are breathable, lightweight, and exceptionally warm compared to standard wool.

Do you ship your products internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide directly from Iceland. We offer both standard international shipping and express courier options. Delivery times typically range from 5 to 12 business days depending on your location.

How should I care for my Icelandic wool sweater?

Wool is naturally antibacterial and rarely needs washing. We recommend airing your garment outside in fresh air. If washing is necessary, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild wool detergent, do not wring, and lay flat to dry.

What is your return policy for fashion items?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition, unworn, and with all tags attached. Please note that custom-made or personalized items are generally non-returnable.

How do I ensure I select the correct size?

Since Icelandic sizing can differ from US or EU standards, we provide a detailed size chart on every product page. We recommend measuring a sweater you already own that fits well and comparing it to our measurements.

Are your products handmade?

Many of our traditional Lopapeysa sweaters are hand-knitted by local artisans in Iceland. We also offer a range of machine-knitted items that use the same high-quality Icelandic wool to ensure heritage quality at different price points.
